Alexey Fayuk was born in Moscow, Russia, and immigrated with his parents to Raleigh, NC, in 1998 at the age of 2. He grew up immersed in the cultures of both countries, fascinated by the similarities and differences in American and Russian storytelling. To this day, Alexey reads books and watches movies from both cultures and beyond, taking inspiration from their impact on culture, society, and even history. Stories and writing have been a hobby of Alexey’s since elementary school, but not until recently did he decide to make something out of them.
As an aspiring middle-grade author, Alexey believes that kid literature is what defines a person’s point of view on the surrounding world and their place in it. Recalling his own unique childhood, full of curiosity and challenges as an immigrant, Alexey aims to share that experience with others through stories.
